Khaberni - Under royal directives, Jordan sent a new humanitarian aid convoy to Lebanon on Thursday, as part of the ongoing response to the humanitarian situation in the sister republic.
The convoy consists of 15 trucks that include food, medicines, and relief materials, according to Dr. Hussein Al-Shibli, Secretary-General of the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization.
Dr. Al-Shibli noted that this convoy reaffirms the Kingdom's steadfast humanitarian role in supporting sister nations during crises, carried out by the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization in cooperation with the Jordan Armed Forces - the Arab Army, and in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs.
He indicated that the Jordanian movement comes in response to an urgent humanitarian duty, emphasizing that this effort will not be temporary, but is an ongoing commitment that will be maintained as long as there is a need.
He explained that this step is an extension of Jordan's efforts to support the Lebanese brethren, which included sending relief aid, with the last convoy in March consisting of 25 trucks, based on royal directives to support the Lebanese people amid difficult circumstances.
