Fawaz AlHasban A Kuwaiti father of children with disabilities creates hope with patience and faith Video

Khaberni - In a world filled with challenges, Fawaz Al-Hasban emerges as an inspiring humanitarian figure, embodying the meanings of patience, strength, and faith. His journey was not easy, as he was blessed with five children, all of whom have rare disabilities, but that was not the end of the story, it was just the beginning.

Al-Hasban's ordeal began in 1994 with the birth of his eldest son, Abdullah, while he was still a student at the College of Basic Education. The moment was a huge shock for him, prompting him to temporarily leave his studies, before he reorganized his priorities and surrendered to God. As his children were born with multiple disabilities, he realized that his path would not be ordinary, so he chose to face reality with faith and action, not despair.

His children suffer from a rare disability known as "Sand Room Effect," which includes hearing and visual impairments in addition to mental imbalance. Despite the heavy responsibility, Al-Hasban asserts that his children were his source of strength, teaching him the true will and determination to persevere, and for him, disability is "a gift from God, not a calamity."

Not content with being just a nurturing father, he decided to plunge into the world of the disabled. He enrolled in specialized courses, acquainted himself with their needs, and sought to understand the details of their daily lives. This path later led him to work in the Supreme Council for Affairs of Persons with Disabilities, where he holds the position of Head of Public and Foreign Relations Office, to be close to their issues and participate in improving their conditions.

Al-Hasban believes that faith has completely changed his life's course, transforming him from a person lacking in ambition and relationships to a productive and proactive human being, carrying a message of support and empowerment for people with special needs. He says he has wholeheartedly accepted his reality and has never lived a day captive to sorrow, but has seen what he went through as a divine gift to test his patience and gratitude.

Through his work, Al-Hasban contributes to supporting compensatory and educational devices for people with disabilities, and participating in facilitating procedures for them to obtain their rights, believing that their empowerment is a communal, not individual, responsibility.

The story of Fawaz Al-Hasban is not just about a father facing extraordinary circumstances, but it is a lesson in how willpower can turn pain into hope, and how true love is translated into daily actions that make a difference in the lives of others. In his long journey, he has not allowed suffering to break him, but instead, he has turned it into a bridge towards generosity, and a renewed message that patience is strength, and faith is the path to salvation.
