Khaberni - The UAE announced the success of new mediation efforts between Russia and Ukraine, which resulted in an exchange operation that included 175 prisoners from each side, bringing the total number of exchanged prisoners between the two countries through these mediations to 6305.
The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its gratitude to Russia and Ukraine for their cooperation with the mediation efforts, reflecting their appreciation for the endeavors aimed at finding solutions to the crisis between the two countries.
The ministry noted that the total mediations carried out by the UAE during the crisis reached 21, reflecting the deep relations that the UAE maintains with the two countries and embodying its role as a trusted mediator in supporting diplomatic and humanitarian solutions.
The ministry reaffirmed that the UAE will continue to support all efforts aimed at reaching a comprehensive political settlement of the crisis, contributing to alleviating the humanitarian impact and enhancing the chances of peace, stability, and prosperity regionally and globally.
It is noteworthy that the UAE hosted two rounds of trilateral talks between the Russian Federation, Ukraine, and the United States in Abu Dhabi, embodying its approach to enhancing dialogue and international cooperation, and reflecting international trust in its role in facilitating dialogue and providing a supportive environment for constructive talks.
