Kuwait 15 years imprisonment for a Gulf citizen in a major embezzlement case

Khaberni - The Kuwaiti Criminal Court in one of the largest cases of seizing public money, after years of investigation by the Public Prosecution and the Social Security, issued severe punishments against a criminal gang led by a fugitive Gulf citizen accused of falsifying proxies for the heirs of Gulf citizens who were employees in Kuwait in collaboration with an employee at a local bank and a Social Security employee. The sentences varied, imprisoning the first for 15 years and fining him 8 million dinars, the bank employee for 10 years and a fine of 5 million dinars, and the Social Security employee for 8 million dinars.

The main Gulf suspect had given bribes to the bank employee and the Social Security employee who disclosed her work secrets by providing the suspect with confidential information. The penalties included seizing public funds, bribes, and forgery.

Additional judgments were issued for imprisoning fraudsters against Social Security by providing false information to benefit from the continuity of disbursing shares, with penalties ranging from 3 to 7 years and fines from 132,000 to 311,000 dinars, while bank employees and others unaware of forging their transactions were acquitted.
