Indonesia Prepares to Send Troops to Keep Peace in Gaza Within Two Weeks

Khaberni - The second stage of the agreement in Gaza is seeing significant progress, as Indonesia prepares as the first foreign force to actually enter Gaza within two weeks.
The military correspondent for Channel (13) Hebrew revealed that an Indonesian force is expected to begin its operations in Gaza in about two weeks.
According to the report, an initial mission of Indonesian representatives is scheduled to arrive in Israel in the second week of March to begin planning the deployment of the multinational force in the sector.

The mission is scheduled to meet with American and Israeli officials, then enter Gaza for the first time afterwards.

This comes about two months after a report by "Bloomberg" indicated that the Indonesian army is preparing for the possibility of sending a peacekeeping force to the Gaza Strip, equipping a force of up to 8,000 soldiers for this purpose.

This step reflects the strategy of Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto aimed at enhancing his country's role, the largest Muslim-majority nation in the world, as a more influential and active player in international security and diplomatic issues.

In turn, the Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Army, Maruli Simanguntak, clarified that the plan is still preliminary, as the exact number of soldiers and the timing of the deployment depend on further coordination within the military command chain. The official statement added that any potential deployment would focus mainly on engineering and medical units.
