Khaberni - Security preparations surrounded the first court sessions of the trial of the accused of forcing a young man to wear women's clothing in Egypt, along with revealing details of the accusations attributed to them.

The area around the Benha court complex in Qalyubia Governorate, Egypt, witnessed intensive security deployment on Sunday, coinciding with the first trial session of the defendants accused of forcing a young man to wear women’s clothing in the village of Mit Assem within Benha center district.

The fourth circuit of the Benha Criminal Court looked into the case involving 6 individuals accused of forcing a young man to wear women’s clothing, specifically a "dance costume," within the Mit Assem village in Benha, Qalyubia Governorate.

The referral order disclosed that the investigation authorities decided to refer 6 defendants to a criminal trial, accusing them that on February 11, 2026, within Benha center district, they demonstrated force and threatened violence to the victim “Islam Mohamed” and his relatives.

According to the investigations, the defendants headed to the victim's residence after confirming his presence inside, stormed into the house during daylight in view of his family and clan, and dressed him in women’s clothing with the intent to degrade him, parading him in the vicinity under threat, aiming to terrorize and intimidate him and cause him harm.

The referral order affirmed that these actions aimed to instill terror in the victim, his relatives, and others, disturb their peace and security, and endanger their lives and safety, especially given that the accused were more than two people, and some of them possessed knives and tools.

The referral order mentioned that the felony was accompanied by another, as the accused kidnapped the victim by force and threat at the same time and place, and took him to their residence away from his family's eyes, with some of them possessing knives and tools, while the fifth and sixth accused participated by agreement and assistance.

The prosecution also charged the accused with the forceful indecency of the victim after one of them brandished a knife at him, others restrained and stripped him under threat, and committed indecent acts as stated in the investigations.

The referral order explained that the accused detained the victim and restricted his freedom without legal basis, assaulted him using knives “singe” and tools, resulting in injuries confirmed by the medical and legal report, which required treatment for more than 20 days.

The referral order also accused the defendants of forcefully entering a dwelling inhabited by the victim and his relatives with the intent to commit mentioned crimes, while some were more than two people, and the fourth was carrying a weapon.

The case file included accusations against the defendants of assaulting the privacy of the victim's personal life by filming him inside a private location without his consent using a mobile phone, in compromising positions, and then publishing the photos and video clips on social media, which constitutes a clear violation of privacy and family values.

The prosecution also assigned them the possession and carrying of unlicensed knives "singe" and tools used in assaulting individuals without legal justification.

The official investigation record stated that the accused confessed that they had the intention and resolved to take revenge on the victim and discipline him in front of the locals, as they brutally assaulted him, resulting in bruises and scattered abrasions across his body, before they forced him, under threat, to wear women's clothing and filmed him in a demeaning posture, with the intent to defame him and prevent him from continuing his emotional involvement with the daughter of one of the defendants.
