Khaberni - The Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority has decided to temporarily open the currently closed complex in front of Khater supermarket (the upper side of the Amman – Aqaba travel complex), to be used as additional vehicle parking during the holy month of Ramadan.
This decision was made in view of the significant increase in traffic and commercial activity in the city, especially during the evening hours leading up to Iftar and continuing late into the night, and the accompanying pressure on public facilities and vehicle parking in vital areas.
The measure aims to reduce random parking, enhance traffic flow, and facilitate citizens' access to markets, commercial and service establishments.
The authority clarified that this arrangement will continue until the end of the Eid al-Fitr holiday in 2026, after which the complex will be closed again in preparation for reallocating it for the parking of buses operating on various routes, according to approved organizational objectives.
