On Iraqs account Jordan secures a direct seat in the Asian Champions League for elites

Khaberni – Jordanian clubs are now able to participate directly in the Elite Asian Champions League starting from the 2027–2028 season, which is the most important Asian competition at the club level.

This came after Jordanian clubs surpassed the Iraqi clubs in the cumulative ranking points (since 2017), causing the Iraqi league to lose one of its seats in the tournament in favor of Jordanian clubs.

Jordanian clubs have outperformed their Iraqi counterparts with the current standout performances of Al-Hussein Irbid Club in the Asian competitions, compared to the unfavorable results of the Iraqi club representatives in the elite tournament.

The total cumulative points of Jordanian clubs (since 2017) reached 41.643 points, with Al-Wehdat club scoring 17.18 points, Al-Hussein Irbid club 14.23 points, Al-Faisaly club 4.24 points, and Al-Jazeera club 4.13 points (**the table is attached below).

According to the current cumulative ranking, Jordan's representatives will secure a direct seat in the Elite Asian Champions League, in addition to a direct seat in the Asian Champions League 2.

The first seat will be allocated to the league champion, while the second seat will be given to the cup champion.
