Khaberni - An Israeli official informed the "KAN" Hebrew channel, this Wednesday evening, that there are significant preparations for a potential American attack on Iran soon, pointing out that the final decision by President Donald Trump has not been made yet.
Trump is pushing more military resources towards the vicinity of Iran, including the coasts of the Gulf, the Middle East, and Europe, in what is considered one of the largest U.S. troop deployments in the region in recent years.
In related news, it was announced this evening that the Israeli Ministerial Security-Policy Council meeting, scheduled for tomorrow Thursday, has been postponed to Sunday.
The "Wall Street Journal" quoted an Iranian source saying that despite the optimism expressed yesterday by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, there is fear that the gap between Tehran and Washington on the nuclear issue is unbridgeable.
Earlier today, the Knesset's Foreign Affairs and Security Committee held a security briefing with the commander of the Home Front Command, Major General Shay Kalber, who said during the session: "We are now preparing for possible launches from Iran, and we will update the assessment accordingly based on the information that will be gathered.
The early warning decision about ten minutes before the launch was excellent. Those who were inside shelters, except for direct injuries, were in good condition".
The chairman of the committee, Knesset member Boaz Bismuth from the Likud party, after the session said: "There is no citizen in Israel who does not ask themselves several times a day when a confrontation with Iran will happen. The public is preparing, and the authorities are preparing. We in the Knesset are also making sure that the home front is ready for every scenario. Wars are also decided in the home front, not just at the frontline".
