For the Sake of God We Forgive You A Traditional Settlement Ends a Vendetta Between Two Families in Upper Egypt

Khaberni - Qena Governorate in southern Egypt witnessed today, Tuesday, a customary reconciliation that ended a vendetta between two families during ceremonies held at the Nagada center located west of Qena, with a large security and public presence.

Local pages reported that the customary reconciliation was in response to a woman's death, with touching moments and tears from relatives of both sides during the ceremonies that brought together the families of "Al-Fatah Al-Ahmar" and "Al-Adam Hilal", and with the chanting of Takbeers, without the use of a shroud.

A number of security, executive, and religious leaders participated in the reconciliation ceremonies, along with a representative from Al-Azhar al-Sharif, and the event included one of the disputing parties uttering the phrase: "For the Sake of God, We Forgive You".

The area has witnessed several reconciliation ceremonies in the past few days, driven by ongoing efforts from reconciliation committees and local leaders, aiming to end disputes and enhance community peace in the governorates of Upper Egypt.
