Khaberni - The new Miss Universe, Fatima Bush Fernandez, experienced a sudden fall on Sunday in front of thousands of attendees at the Fruit and Flower Festival in Ecuador, causing concern among her team.
While Fatima was enjoying her moment, waving to the audience and blowing kisses, her energy suddenly changed, and she struggled to stand before falling to her knees, as shown in a circulated video clip.
Event officials immediately intervened to take care of the young Mexican woman, who was crowned Miss Universe 2025 last November. Medical teams provided treatment at the scene, and she was excused from her duties for the rest of the day to undergo examinations.
In a statement published in a "Story" feature on her Instagram account, Fatima commented on the incident: "I deeply appreciate all expressions of concern and affection I received in Ecuador and through my social media platforms."
She added: "The fainting was momentary and due to exhaustion. I am fine and will continue with my scheduled activities responsibly.. Thank you always for your support and unconditional love."
