Yousra Reveals the Secret of Her 29Year Marriage

Khaberni - Actress Yousra recalled many details of the stories that passed in her life, especially her relationship with her late mother, whom she described as her closest friend. Similarly, she expressed regret about love stories she experienced before marriage, and revealed some details of her personal life that she talked about for the first time.

Yousra explained in an interview with media personality Abla Salama on the program "Do you have time with Abla," that the secret to the continuity and success of her marital life with her husband Khaled Selim is mutual respect and appreciation between them.

She added that their marriage has lasted for 29 years despite the challenges of fame, noting that one of the main reasons is keeping the details of their home away from social media, which has made their life happy and secure all these years.

Yousra touched on some of the emotional experiences she went through before marriage, noting that she regretted some of them later, considering them lessons that refined her personality and made her more mature. She pointed out that her decision to divorce her first husband was necessary because she felt unhappy.

Yousra emphasized that relationships, despite their harshness, can be considered life lessons that contribute to shaping a person's emotional awareness, affirming that a person learns only from their experiences, even if they are painful.

When asked if it was possible for her to cry in front of everyone or try to hold back her tears, she said: "Sometimes, I couldn't care less about being sad or crying, but something happens and I find myself upset, and the real tears are not calculated."

Yousra spoke about her relationship with her late mother, noting that she was the keeper of her secrets and her closest friend, and could understand her feelings without her having to speak.

She continued: "From just saying 'good morning', she would ask me what's wrong, she knew all my sadness without me speaking, and I used to tell her to hug me because the weight of the world falls from your embrace."

She candidly spoke about some aspects of her personal life, noting that she is not ashamed of her age, stressing that a woman's age is never a flaw, saying: "Only trivial people consider it a flaw," explaining that she looks at life positively and does not pay attention to negative or superficial judgments about a woman's appearance.

Yousra revealed various human aspects of her personality, emphasizing that the glamour of stardom and fame did not shield her from feelings of fear, noting that she suffers from a constant fear of loneliness, especially since it's the hardest thing a person can go through.

About the possibility of traveling alone and enjoying it, she explained that she has done this often but she prefers having people around her, confirming that if she has to travel alone, she prefers to stay more at home.

Yousra described herself as a responsible lady, noting that throughout her life she has learned to succeed in what she does and prefers to reprimand people she loves if she is angry with them saying: "But after more than one instance of reprimand and not seeing a result, I will not do it again."

In the end, Yousra explained how she recovers from shocks, noting that she takes her time and gives herself the opportunity to grieve, saying: "But I must know that I won't allow myself more than this, because I'll sink and I need to pull myself together."

It is worth mentioning that Yousra is currently filming the series "Heart of Sun," her first collaboration with director Mohammed Sami as an actress, with the participation of several stars including Dora the Tunisian, Inji El Mokkaddam, Sawsan Badr, Amr Abdel-Gelil, Mahmoud El Bezawy, Rania Mansour, Donya Sami, Intisar, and Rehab El Gamal, written by Kero Ayman and Mohamed Badwy, directed by Khaled Abu al-Naga.
