An app that allows Jordanians to know their electricity consumption in realtime

Khaberni - The Electricity Distribution Company announced the launch of the first version of its new smartphone app, which allows subscribers to view daily electricity consumption in kilowatts per hour, the cost in dinars according to the tariff structure, and instant, automated calculation of bill amounts and tracking of current consumption levels.

The company said in a statement on Sunday that the first version of the new app is a significant step towards enhancing digital transformation and improving the experience of its subscribers in its concession areas in the governorates of Karak, Tafila, Ma'an, Aqaba, the Jordan Valley and eastern regions of the kingdom.

The app also includes other services; such as monthly comparisons of consumption and past bills, the ability to download a detailed bill according to approved tariff bands, receiving notifications and personalized messages for each subscriber, a bill calculator that allows entering an expected reading and viewing an estimated bill, following the company's news and updates as they happen, a frequently asked questions section, direct communication channels and sending inquiries to the company, and direct links to the company’s social media platforms.

The company emphasized that this version is the first step within a comprehensive development plan, where work is currently ongoing to prepare an updated version that will include more features and smart services to be announced later.

The Electricity Distribution Company invites its subscribers to download the app and benefit from its services, affirming its commitment to developing digital solutions that contribute to improving service quality and enhancing communication with subscribers.

The launch of the app comes as part of the company's ongoing efforts to develop its services and provide innovative digital solutions that enable subscribers to monitor their electricity consumption instantly, and access detailed information that contributes to more efficient management and conservation of energy consumption.
