Jordan Israel has no sovereignty over Jerusalem and its holy sites

Khaberni  - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs condemned in the strongest terms the ongoing rejected Israeli incursions into the Blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque / the Noble Sanctuary of Jerusalem, including the most recent one by a member of the Israeli Knesset, which is a blatant violation of the existing legal and historical status in the Noble Sanctuary of Jerusalem and desecration of its sanctity, emphasizing that Israel has no sovereignty over the occupied city of Jerusalem and its Islamic and Christian holy sites.

‏The official spokesperson for the Ministry, Fuad Al-Majali, reiterated the Kingdom's absolute rejection and strong condemnation of the ongoing rejected incursions by extremist Israeli ministers and Knesset members into the Blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque / the Noble Sanctuary of Jerusalem, considering it a provocative act aimed at imposing new realities in the Blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque / the Noble Sanctuary of Jerusalem, and attempting to divide it temporally and spatially, warning of the consequences of continuing these violations of the Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.

‏Al-Majali called upon the international community to take a firm international stance that obliges Israel, as the occupying power, to stop its violations and its ongoing illegitimate practices against the Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem, and its violations of the sanctity of the sacred places.

‏Al-Majali reiterated that the entire area of the Blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, which totals 144 dunums, is purely a place of worship for Muslims, and that the management of Jerusalem Waqf and Al-Aqsa Mosque affairs, which belong to the Jordanian Ministry of Waqf and Islamic Affairs and Holy Places, is the legally competent authority exclusively responsible for managing the affairs of the Noble Sanctuary of Jerusalem and regulating entry to it.
