Grand Finale for The Commanders Tournament of the Jordanian Universities Sports Federation in Aqaba

Khaberni - The Jordanian Universities Federation "The Commander's Tournament" concluded in a ceremony held under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Youth, Dr. Raed Adwan, and in the presence of the president of the Sports Federation for Jordanian Universities, President of the Middle East University, Her Excellency Dr. Salam Al-Mahadin, Governor of Aqaba, His Excellency Pasha Ayman Al-Awaisheh, Deans of Student Affairs, and representatives of the participating universities.
The closing ceremony presented a complete picture of the growing presence of university sports as a lever for building student character, and a field for honing leadership skills and teamwork.
The tournament witnessed a final match between Al-Balqa Applied University and Petra University, which resulted in Al-Balqa Applied University coming in first place, while Petra University took second place, with Hashemite University and the University of Jordan tying for third place. 
The Minister of Youth, the president of the Sports Federation for Jordanian Universities, the Governor of Aqaba, and the secretary of the federation, delivered the trophies and medals to the winning teams, in a celebratory scene that held symbolic appreciation for the sports effort demonstrated by the participating university teams.
In his speech during the ceremony, the Minister of Youth Adwan stated that university sports represent one of the most important paths for investing in youth energy, due to its ability to build physical and mental health, alongside its role in discovering talents and creating young leaders capable of contributing to the national development journey. 
In turn, Middle East University's Dean of Student Affairs and secretary-general of the Jordanian Universities Federation, Dr. Hazem Al-Nasour, emphasized that the tournament is part of a strategic vision aimed at establishing a culture of university sports as an integral part of the comprehensive educational experience, pointing out that athletic competition between universities creates a positive environment for interaction and integration.
The ceremony also included recognition of the supporting bodies and the preparatory committee that contributed to the success of the tournament, in appreciation of their organizational and managerial efforts, which were a decisive factor in presenting the event in a professional manner that reflects the development of the university sports system in Jordan.
