Amman Ahliyya Universitys School of Law Organizes a Scientific Seminar on Recent Amendments to the Social Security Law

Khaberni  - The School of Law at Amman Ahliyya University recently organized a specialized scientific seminar titled "Recent Amendments to the Social Security Law and Their Impact on Insured Rights", which saw wide attendance from the college students and several faculty members.

The seminar was held under the supervision of both Dr. Shadi Al-Tarawneh and Dr. Nour Al-Dabbas, where they hosted the media spokesperson for the Social Security Corporation and the insurance expert, Mr. Musa Al-Subaihi, who gave a detailed presentation covering the major legislative amendments that were made to the social security law.

The lecturer reviewed the objectives of these amendments in enhancing the social protection system, ensuring the sustainability of the insurance funds, and achieving a balance between the rights of the insured and the obligations of the institution. He also discussed the legal and practical effects of these amendments on the rights of the insured, especially regarding retirement, unemployment insurance, work injuries, and mechanisms for calculating insurance benefits. Al-Subaihi emphasized the institution’s role in developing its services and enhancing insurance awareness among citizens.

 The seminar witnessed a remarkable interaction from the students, where many questions and inquiries were raised that reflected their interest in understanding the practical aspects of the amendments, which were detailedly answered by the guest.

At the end of the seminar, the School of Law at Amman Ahliyya University emphasized its commitment to continue organizing such scientific events that contribute to honing students' skills, enhancing their awareness of legislative developments, and building bridges of communication with national institutions.
