The Jordanian Narrative
Author: زهير الفقيه

Khaberni - Written by Zuhair Ahmed Al-Faqih:

His Excellency Dr. Abdel Raouf Al-Rawabdeh, Abu Essam, was brilliant when he spoke about the Jordanian narrative in his lectures, seminars, and meetings with the local community within the country, and many of us learned through him the true meaning of loving the homeland and being attached to it. We know that many among us are pleased by the speech of His Excellency, and some are irritated by it ...
There are those who do not recognize that Jordan is a state and a law, which has been established for more than a hundred years, even before the birth of some skeptics who live on its soil and have owned much of its land, and even passed on positions to their children and still do ...
There are those who try to cause corruption and ignite strife among us by manipulating terms and tribal emotions..
We, the children of Jordan from both its banks, do not follow those with psychological illnesses and delusions ... This country, which has borne much of the consequences of what was called the Arab Spring, has led the scene in welcoming waves of humans fleeing wars in their countries, courageously and bravely confronted everything plotted against it in secrecy and openly, and protected the borders.... Its brave soldiers continue through day and night defending our homeland that has become a refuge for several Arab nationalities who fled to us escaping what happens in their countries.
It remains to be said that the Palestinian and Jordanian peoples cannot be separated as they have become one people, a mixture that is difficult, indeed impossible, to separate because here is a Jordanian married to a Palestinian and another Palestinian married to a Jordanian, becoming uncles, aunts, and in-laws... Our homes are their homes, and their homes are our homes... Neighbors who drink coffee together...and at work, you find us in shared offices, who is the madman who thinks of separating us....
Blessed are the martyrs from both sides who were martyred for the preservation of this homeland and the defense of our holy sites and the walls of Jerusalem and beyond....
