Jordan Detaining an individual for advertising the sale of endangered birds Pictures

Khaberni - The Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature said today, Thursday, that after tracking and monitoring interconnected posts on social media during the last quarter of 2025, a joint patrol from the Royal Administration for Environmental Protection and the Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature (Directorate of Protection and Sustainable Hunting), in participation with a number of specialized security agencies, succeeded in detaining an individual for publishing advertisements selling endangered birds in the past period.

It continued that he was tracked and monitored by the relevant authorities until his location was determined and he was legally detained.

According to the society, the detention led to the discovery of a collection of endangered wild birds, including eagles and owls, in his possession, along with a number of taxidermied animals. Legal actions were accordingly taken against him according to the laws and regulations, and the confiscated animals were treated and rehabilitated by the society’s veterinary doctors to be eventually released into natural reserves at an appropriate time.

The Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature confirmed its ongoing commitment to perform its supervisory duties in partnership and coordination with the Royal Administration for Environmental Protection and oversight from the Judicial Council and specialized security bodies, including dealing with violations conducted through social media, and transferring the violators to the competent courts to take legal action against them.

The society also called on fellow citizens to refrain from engaging in such illegal activities, and to report any similar cases, emphasizing the importance of community partnership in protecting the environment and wildlife.
