Khaberni - Osama Hamdan, a leader in the Islamic Resistance Movement "Hamas," reiterated the Palestinians' rejection of any guardianship from any party, and confirmed that any international force that comes to the Gaza Strip must be limited to the borders of the sector only, to prevent Israeli aggression and stop ceasefire breaches, without interfering in the internal affairs of Gaza.
Hamdan's statements came in response to a question on the "Al-Masaiya" program on Al Jazeera Mubasher regarding the announcement by Indonesia to send several thousand soldiers as part of the stabilization force in the Gaza Strip.
Hamdan clarified that the Hamas movement communicated directly with the Indonesian government, assuring them that "any international forces must adhere to a neutral role on the borders, and not adopt a position that contradicts the will of the Palestinian people or replace the Israeli occupation."
He added, "I heard this message clearly from the Indonesian parties, where they confirmed that they would not be a party in implementing any Israeli agenda inside the sector, and that their mission must be limited to separating the Palestinians and the occupation forces, and preventing aggression without interfering in the affairs of the residents."
Hamdan confirmed that the Palestinian factions - including Hamas - are committed to supporting the Administrative Committee for managing the affairs of Gaza, and that any attempt to exploit international forces to undermine the will of the Palestinian people or confront the resistance will be completely rejected.
In response to a question about the "New York Times" report regarding the draft for the disarmament of the resistance, Hamdan affirmed that "the matter of Palestinian arms is related to the presence of the occupation and its demise, and that the Palestinian resistance since 1917 has been committed to the principle of reclaiming land and achieving national freedom."
He added, "This weapon is legitimate according to international law and the will of the Palestinian people, and will not be surrendered until its goal of establishing an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital is achieved."
In response to some movement leaders' statements on the idea of freezing arms for a specific period, Hamdan stressed that "any talk of freezing arms or a truce extending for years is merely political debate, and Hamas has not adopted this issue as official policy because the weapon of resistance is a national and legitimate right that cannot be compromised."
In response to whether such statements might give Israel an excuse to continue occupying Gaza, Hamdan said, "Israel does not need pretexts, as it has been practicing genocide against our people since 1948. What we are asking for beforehand is the Israeli withdrawal, and the presence of international forces at the borders to separate between the occupation and the Palestinians, and to prevent breaches of the ceasefire, before any other discussion."
The occupation disrupts implementation
Hamdan clarified that the Palestinian resistance signed the first four points of President Donald Trump's document in Sharm el-Sheikh, which included:
Stopping the war
Prisoner exchange
Introducing relief
Occupation withdrawal to the yellow line, with a promise of complete withdrawal to the borders of the Gaza Strip later.
However, he confirmed that the Israeli occupation obstructs this stage, prevents the entry of medical relief, hampers the rehabilitation of hospitals and municipal institutions, and prevents the entry of the Administrative Committee despite international consensus on its formation.
Commenting on the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's joining the International Peace Council, Hamdan described the decision as "one of the era's absurdities," emphasizing that Netanyahu is wanted by the International Criminal Court for charges of committing genocide, and that his acceptance in this council raises questions about the meaning of peace in the region.
The value of arms despite the genocide
In response to those who doubt the value of the resistance's arms after two years of aggression, Hamdan asserted that the history of the Palestinians "teaches us that surrendering weapons leads to massacres, such as the Sabra and Shatila massacre, and that resistance is the only guarantee to preserve the lives of the Palestinians and their land," adding that Palestinian rights are not negotiable, and anyone attempting to bid on our people's blood fails to understand reality."
Regarding the American-Israeli negotiations related to the axis of resistance and Iran, Hamdan stated that Israel is a source of instability, inciting the United States to attack Iran and ignite tensions in the region, and seeks to expand its occupation in several Arab countries, but the real solution lies in directly confronting the occupation and supporting the Palestinian resistance.
In response to a question about the resistance's ability to endure, Hamdan said, "We rely first on God, then on assessing the reality. We read our goals and continue the resistance despite significant losses, and we are working on managing the next stage with wisdom and planning, as defeating the Zionist entity is not impossible, but it requires time, effort, and organization."
Coordination with mediators
Hamdan confirmed that traveling between Doha, Cairo, and Ankara is part of efforts to reach clear understandings to implement agreements and achieve internal Palestinian stability, noting that the occupation disrupts any role for the authority or Palestinian factions and wants to remain controlling the occupied Palestinian territories, which requires continuous communication with mediators to ensure the implementation of Palestinian rights.
Regarding the announcement about issuing a Palestinian constitution by the decision of President Mahmoud Abbas, Hamdan clarified that the Hamas movement will issue its official position regarding the draft Palestinian constitution, affirming that the issue is not linked to consulting with the movement, but relates to the legitimacy of those issuing these decisions and the will to establish a true political system that achieves the rotation of power freely, democratically, with equality and transparency.
