Khaberni - Alaa Hazaymeh, the director of Mafraq's Public Works Directorate, said that the directorate's allocation from the governorate council's budget for this year amounted to 1.38 million dinars.
Hazaymeh explained that a number of projects will be implemented in various areas of the governorate as part of these allocations, pointing out that the projects include maintenance work for a number of roads according to priorities, hiring worker services, in addition to constructing agricultural roads in various areas of Mafraq Governorate.
She added, on Tuesday, that the directorate's allocations for this year include the implementation of other projects, among them the construction and improvement of main, rural, and secondary roads, renting machinery during the upcoming winter season, alongside projects to install public safety signs on main and rural roads, supply of construction materials for maintenance stations, and the upkeep of cleaning operations under the directorate.
Hazaymeh indicated that a number of tenders have already been floated, with the rest of the remaining project tenders to be floated in the upcoming period.
