Epstein Scandals Reach Egypt Detention of Organizer of A Day on the Island Event

Khaberni - The Egyptian authorities have decided to detain the organizer of the «A Day on Epstein Island» event pending investigation, after the Interior Ministry revealed advertisement violations and prevented the unauthorized event.

The Qasr El Nil Prosecution has decided to detain the accused responsible for inviting the organization of an event at one of the famous nightclubs in the Qasr El Nil area, which was announced under the name «A Day on Epstein Island», pending ongoing investigations about the incident.

The decision came after a wide controversy sparked by a promotional video clip for the event, which was circulated on social media, following which a lady filed a complaint distressed by the content of the advertisement and its unacceptable implications.

The Ministry of Interior devices revealed that the advertisement included suspicious organizational conditions, including allowing free entry for girls, as well as the ambiguity of the event's nature and the inappropriateness of the used name, which caused the displeasure of a wide sector of citizens.

Upon further inspection and investigation, it was found that the event had been announced without obtaining any legal permits from the competent authorities, necessitating an urgent security action that resulted in the identification and arrest of the organizer of the event, who was found to be residing in Cairo governorate and working in event planning.

Coordination was made with the relevant authorities to issue an official decision to prevent the event, along with taking necessary legal actions against the accused, as part of the Ministry of Interior's efforts to confront any activities violating the law and to preserve the public values of society.

The Jeffrey Epstein case involves an American billionaire accused of running a sex trafficking network of minors, seducing girls through money and influence, involving influential figures from the worlds of politics, finance, and arts, using his private island as one of the violation sites.

In 2019, he was arrested on sex trafficking charges, but he died in his cell in New York under mysterious circumstances officially described as suicide, which opened a wide door to theories of concealment and complicity.
