Sulaf Fawakherji Stirs Audience Curiosity with a Mysterious Message

Khaberni -  The Syrian artist Sulaf Fawakherji captured the attention during her recent visit to the Grand Egyptian Museum alongside her family members, where she shared photos from the tour, adding a noticeable comment saying: "My friend Akhenaten... and my family and I", which sparked widespread interaction and questions about the significance of the phrase and the allusion to the famous Pharaonic king.

The star expressed her fascination with Egyptian civilization, stressing that hours are not enough to explore the museum, and that the experience calls for multiple visits without feeling satisfied.

She added that standing before this historical legacy imposes renewed awe and deep respect for those who built this civilization and continued its journey. Fawakherji captured attention by describing the Pharaonic king Akhenaten as "my friend," which some considered a metaphorical expression of her spiritual and intellectual closeness to Egyptian history.

The audience interacted widely with the post, with comments varying from praise for Sulaf’s culture and connection to history, to humorous inquiries and surprise at her choice of expression.

On the artistic front, Fawakherji is embarking on a new experience through her participation in the movie "Land of Angels," her first work in Iranian cinema, in a humanitarian project that tells the story of a woman who faces harsh challenges and succeeds in overcoming them with willpower and love, in a dramatic treatment that focuses on the human struggle and the ability to persevere.

"Land of Angels" features a selection of Iranian cinema's creators and a group of child actors from Arab, Iranian, Syrian, and Lebanese backgrounds, including "Ali Dheeb, Fatima Ma'souma Zreik, Ahoura Lotfi, Mohammad Asad, Zahra Fadel, Fatima Marish, and Ali Reza Olaw," and this film premiered on Tuesday, February 3, in the third session of the Cinema Media Festival.
