Khaberni - Jerash Governor Dr. Malek Khreisat inspected the road connecting Jerash and Ajloun governorates to ascertain the reasons for the electricity outage at the lighting poles and to take the necessary measures.
The tour, attended by the Deputy Director of the Governorate’s Police, Colonel Khalil Al Maani, the Director of Jerash Public Works, Engineer Ikhlas Al Khshashneh, the Director of the Electricity Office, Engineer Alaa Al Momani, and the Director of the Lighting Department at the Ministry of Public Works, revealed faults in several lighting units, which led to the outage of lighting in several vital segments of the road.
Urgent measures were taken to address the issue, where coordination with relevant authorities occurred and technical teams started maintenance works. More than 100 lighting units were relit on the road, faults were repaired, cables were reconnected on the routes Jerash - Souf - Ajloun and Jerash - Sakib - Ajloun, and full lighting was restored to them, enhancing traffic safety and securing the safety of road users.
Khreisat confirmed that Jerash governorate continuously monitors the state of services offered to citizens, collaborating with various entities to ensure their sustainability, especially on vital roads that experience active traffic, emphasizing that the safety of citizens remains a top priority.
