Kashmir A Matter of Right Justice and Solidarity with its People is a Moral and Human Principle
الكاتب: الدكتور زيد احمد المحيسن

The issue of Kashmir remains one of the oldest and most complex issues in the contemporary world, not merely a regional dispute or border disagreement between two countries, but a matter of a people groaning under occupation for more than seven decades, deprived of their inherent right to self-determination and to live their lives with freedom and dignity. From the very first moment, the Kashmiri people have been subjected to severe human rights violations, including political repression, arbitrary arrests, and severe restrictions on fundamental freedoms, all of which constitute a glaring violation of the humanitarian principles and international laws that ensure the right of peoples to determine their own destiny.
In this context, the official and popular Pakistani stance stands out as a steadfast model of moral and political solidarity. Since the beginning of the conflict, Pakistan has affirmed that a permanent and just solution can only be achieved with the participation of the Kashmiri people themselves in determining their future according to their free will, and in compliance with international decisions and principles of international law, including the conduct of a free and fair referendum that ends the occupation and restores rights to their rightful owners. The support has not been limited to official statements, but was also expressed by the Pakistani people through campaigns of solidarity, rights advocacy, media, and political actions, which have kept the issue of Kashmir alive in the consciousness of the nation and the international community.
In contrast, the Indian occupation continues to impose its control over the region by force, disregarding the popular demands and international resolutions, and practicing policies of repression, starvation, and restriction on freedoms, including restrictions on the media, education, and cultural activities. These policies have not succeeded in suppressing the will of the Kashmiri people; instead, they have increased their resolve to demand their rights, affirming that justice is not subdued by force nor are rights extinguished by neglect.
Solidarity with Kashmir on its day is not just a political stance, but is a moral and human commitment reflecting the firm belief that justice does not expire with time, and that the right is legitimate for any people who demand it. Pakistan, with its consistent stance over the decades, represents the voice of conscience that refuses to allow occupation and injustice to become familiar realities, confirming that true peace and stability cannot be achieved without justice for the Kashmiri people and enabling them to determine their destiny freely and with dignity.
On this day, we renew our stance with the resilient Kashmiri people, salute the Pakistani efforts that have kept the issue alive in international forums, and pledge that the voice of justice will remain louder than the voice of repression, and that despite all the trials, Kashmir will continue to be a vibrant cause in the conscience of humanity
