What Does Jordan Expect After the Weather Depression

Khaberni - The Kingdom was affected during the early dawn and morning hours of Tuesday by a weather depression, previously classified as a second-degree (normal), which initially led to rainfalls in the northern provinces including Irbid, Jerash, and Ajloun, before it extended to the central areas, especially Balqa and the capital Amman, reaching Madaba.

During the afternoon hours, rain showers reached parts of the south of the Kingdom, including areas in Karak and, intermittently, in Tafilah, which was less fortunate in terms of rainfall amounts, in addition to parts of eastern Jordan.

The amounts of rainfall in the north ranged between 15 to 30 mm, with Ajloun recording the highest rainfall, while the amounts ranged from 10 to 20 mm in the central areas including west Amman, and between 2 and 6 mm in the regions of Karak, Zarqa, and Mafraq.

Jordan: What does the Kingdom expect after the weather depression?
God willing, a rise in temperatures is expected on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, with generally sunny and stable weather during daylight hours, relatively cold weather over mountainous highlands, and pleasant in the low-lying areas during midday and afternoon, while remaining cold during nighttime hours.

And on Thursday, February 5, 2026, God willing, an additional rise in temperatures is expected, to be several degrees Celsius higher than the usual averages for this time of the year, with cold weather in the morning hours due to occasionally active eastern winds, then becoming pleasant to moderate during midday and afternoon hours, while the weather remains sunny in general.

As for Friday, February 6, 2026, forecasts indicate the appearance of medium and high clouds, and despite the temperatures remaining higher than their general averages for this time of the year, there is a possibility, God willing, of localized rains with a sporadic nature in some areas
