Khaberni – The Petra Regional Tourism Development Authority announced that the entry ticket prices to the Petra Archaeological Reserve for foreigners remain at 50 Dinars.
The authority stated in a statement that was received by Khaberni that the news circulated in some media outlets about reducing the entry ticket prices to the Petra Archaeological Reserve for foreigners from (50) Dinars to (25) Dinars is just a proposal under study, and no official decision has been made on this matter to date.
The statement quoted the Chairman of the Commissioners' Council at the Authority, Engineer Adnan Al-Swa'ir, affirming that this proposal is part of the efforts to prepare comprehensive tourist packages in cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities and partners in the tourism sector to stimulate tourist movement and enhance the competitiveness of the tourist product.
Al-Swa'ir explained that any decisions related to ticket prices will be officially announced after completing the necessary studies and officially adopting them by the relevant authorities.
He also mentioned that a initiatives room has been established in partnership with the local community and the tourism sector to explore and develop ideas and initiatives to support the sector during the current phase.
