Orange Jordan Celebrates International Education Day Through an Awareness Session to Enhance Digital Culture for People with Dis

Khaberni - Orange Jordan organized an awareness session on the occasion of International Education Day, as part of the umbrella programs of Orange for people with disabilities "Our capacities are different but our capabilities are certain", with the goal of enhancing the concepts of inclusive education and raising awareness about digital culture for people with disabilities in Jordan, during the Innovation Forum.

The session aimed to highlight the importance of inclusive education, and its role in empowering people with disabilities, especially in the face of challenges faced by young men and women in this group, such as limited access to assistive technologies, the absence of inclusive educational environments, and gaps in training on digital skills, in addition to some social challenges related to prevailing perceptions.

The session targeted two main groups, including trainers and supervisors working in educational institutions, vocational training centers, and civil society organizations, as well as young men and women with disabilities from the age group (18–35 years), where it focused on enhancing the trainers' awareness of the principles of inclusive education, and enabling young men and women to use digital tools effectively to support their learning and employment opportunities.

The session addressed several axes related to the concepts of inclusive education, accessibility in the digital age, the importance of designing training and educational content that considers the needs of people with disabilities, along with showcasing inclusive educational strategies that align with the best global practices in the field according to the International Day of Education, which this year revolved around "the power of youth in shaping education".

Orange Jordan affirmed that organizing this session falls within its ongoing commitment to support education, promote digital empowerment, and instill the principles of inclusion through the use of technology to have a positive and sustainable social impact, in alignment with its vision to provide digital and accessible services for everyone, embodying its motto "Always with you".

The session was conducted by Ablers, a company possessing specialized and extensive experience in integrating people with disabilities and inclusive education, where the content was built on international standards and practices, aligning with the requirements of the educational and digital environment in Jordan, and contributing to enhancing the practical understanding of inclusive education principles.

It is worth noting that this session is an extension of Orange Jordan's efforts under the umbrella "Our capacities are different but our capabilities are certain", which includes quality programs like the "Capable" program recently executed by the company in collaboration with Ablers, to empower people with disabilities and promote their educational and professional integration.
