Khaberni – The Royal Automobile Museum announced a reduction in the special tax on importing classic cars to become 35% instead of 60%, with the sales tax remaining at 16%, in a move aimed at encouraging the acquisition of classic cars and supporting those interested in this sector.
The museum clarified that the list of approved classic cars for the year 2026 has been updated, with the addition of new models, providing wider and more varied options for classic car enthusiasts.
It also noted that the policy for classic cars has been amended to include cars that need restoration or maintenance (Project Car), allowing restoration and modification enthusiasts the opportunity to revive classic cars according to their own vision and within the approved terms.
