Khaberni - The Jordanian Hashemite Kingdom’s ambassador to Tunisia, Abdullah Abu Romman, visited the Export Development Center and met with the center’s director general, yesterday, Wednesday, March 25, 2026, accompanied by the deputy ambassador, advisor Sahar Al-Qatarneh, and in the presence of senior officials from the center.
This meeting served as an opportunity to affirm the deep fraternal ties and the enduring diplomatic relations between the two countries, which are based on the shared cultural, societal, and economic pillars that unite the two brotherly peoples. The realities and prospects of economic and trade cooperation between Tunisia and Jordan were also reviewed, with both parties emphasizing the importance of developing the volume of trade exchanges and elevating it to match the available potential of both countries.
On the other hand, both parties discussed the need to explore new partnership opportunities, especially in promising sectors with high-added value, such as the food, pharmaceutical, textile and apparel industries, information technology, and services, along with other sectors of mutual interest. This discussion occurred in light of the presence of promising trade and investment opportunities that can be leveraged, whether through developing trade exchange or through establishing joint projects that support economic integration.
Furthermore, both parties agreed to establish a practical program for the upcoming period, which includes organizing reciprocal visits for businessmen and investors from both countries. This initiative aims to enhance direct communication between economic actors and open new prospects for cooperation and partnership, as well as intensify efforts to convert these orientations into tangible work programs, serving the mutual economic interests of both countries.
