Khaberni - The Cabinet issued several decisions today, Sunday corresponding to the first of February 2026.
Firstly: Decisions related to improving transportation services provided to citizens and encouraging investment:
- Approval of the implementation of the second phase of the public transport development project regularly between the governorates along 7 main routes which are: (Amman - Tafilah), and (Amman - Ma'an), and (Amman - Ajloun), and (Zarqa - Mafraq), and (Zarqa - Irbid), and (Jerash - Mafraq), and (Irbid – Jerash) totaling 180 buses, serving 13,000 passengers.
- Approval of the justifications for the car rental service licensing system for the year 2026; to encourage tourism and serve tourists.
- Approval to establish a free zone within the business and traveler lounges at Queen Alia International Airport and Amman City Airport; to support investment.
Secondly: Decisions related to enhancing social protection:
- Approving solutions related to lands on which camps are situated, and owned by citizens, to ensure the resolution of existing judicial disputes, and to alleviate the financial burdens on the treasury, according to the principle of fair compensation.
- Approval of the national plan for multisectoral prevention and response to child protection issues and family violence against women and girls for the years 2026 – 2030.
- Exemption of ambulances, and vehicles equipped for use by people with disabilities, from the total special tax rate of 48%, to become zero.
Thirdly: Legislations related to the regulation of the work of constitutional institutions:
- Enactment of an amendment to the Constitutional Court Law for the year 2026.
