Iran Our response to any American strike will be deep in Israel and countries in the region should be worried

Ali Shamkhani, advisor to the Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, said that any potential US strike against Iran will be met with a direct response targeting "deep inside Israel".

Shamkhani warned that the countries in the region will face serious consequences and should be "worried" about the widening scope of the confrontation.

In an interview with Al Mayadeen channel, Shamkhani emphasized that "our message is clear, any movement that indicates hostile intentions by the enemy will be met with a proportionate, effective, and deterrent response," stressing that the Iranian response includes "strikes deep into the Zionist entity".

He clarified that Iran does not limit confrontation scenarios to the sea only, noting that Tehran has prepared itself for broader and more advanced options in case of any military clash. He also warned that "the inevitable expansion of the war to include regional countries should be a shared concern for all parties," confirming that past experiences have shown that any war in this geography quickly turns into a comprehensive conflict that becomes uncontrollable by those who plan it.

Shamkhani affirmed that Iran "will adopt more substantial and effective options" to defend its national security and territorial integrity in case of any aggression.

Tensions between the United States and Iran are escalating as Trump talks about sending a large military fleet towards Iran, alongside his statements about the possibility of resorting to non-diplomatic options if negotiations fail.

This coincides with media reports that Washington has informed its allies in the Middle East of the possibility of a military attack on Iran within days, amid warnings of a broad regional escalation.

In contrast, Tehran threatens an unprecedented response that may include US bases and Israel, while regional parties make mediation efforts to prevent the region from sliding into a comprehensive confrontation, amid cautious stances from Gulf countries that refuse to use their airspace or waters for any military action against Iran.
