Jordan Reduction of gasoline and kerosene prices and fixing the prices of diesel and gas for February

Khaberni - The fuel derivatives pricing committee announced on Saturday a reduction of the kerosene price by 4 piastres per liter, to becomes 550 piastres/liter instead of 590 piastres/liter, based on a government directive to provide relief to citizens during the blessed month of Ramadan, which coincides with the winter season.

This was revealed during the committee’s monthly meeting to set local selling prices of fuel derivatives for the period from (1–28 February next), reviewing the global prices of crude oil and its derivatives during the current month of January and comparing them with their counterparts in December last, where global price averages showed a decrease in the selling prices of gasoline types (90 and 95) and stability in the prices of diesel.

After applying the pricing equation according to global prices for all fuel derivatives, the committee found a decrease in the price of Octane 90 gasoline by (20) piastres/liter, a decrease in the price of Octane 95 gasoline by (20) piastres/liter, and fixed the price of diesel.

As a result, the fuel derivatives pricing committee decided to adjust the selling price of Octane 90 gasoline to become (810) piastres/liter instead of (830) piastres/liter, and the selling price of Octane 95 gasoline to become (1035) piastres/liter instead of (1055) piastres/liter, and the selling price of Octane 98 gasoline to become (1185) piastres/liter instead of (1205) piastres/liter, and fixed the selling price of diesel at (645) piastres/liter.

The committee also decided to maintain the selling price of a domestic gas cylinder (12.5 kg) at (7) dinars/cylinder.
