Englands Strangest Deals A Coach at One Club and a Player at Another

Khaberni - The British site "Fan Banter" reported on the career of the veteran English player Frank Noble (aged 34), who announced this week an exciting step in his football career by taking on two different roles with competing clubs in the English regional leagues.

Coach at Gateshead.. and player at Spennymoor

The site explained that Noble, who has previously played in the English Premier League (Premier League), reached an agreement to terminate his contract as a player with Gateshead club (active in the fifth division league) by mutual consent, to immediately join the club's coaching staff as the first team coach under the direction of the technical director Rob Elliot.

In a striking coincidence, Noble also signed a contract as a player with Spennymoor Town (active in the National North League) until the end of the 2025-2026 season, making it the 25th club in his long professional career that started in Chelsea and West Ham United academies.

Official statements and a new challenge

"Fan Banter" reported that Gateshead club thanked Noble for his contributions as a player, expressing delight in his continuation within the coaching staff. On the other hand, Graeme Lee, the coach of Spennymoor Town, praised the signing of Noble, confirming that he "is a player with tremendous experience and will be a strong addition to the attack line".

It is noted that Noble, who has previously represented England's youth teams, will wear the number 22 with his new team and will be available to participate in the upcoming Saturday match against Buxton, while he will begin his coaching duties with Gateshead concurrently with his new journey as a player.
