Minister of Interior AlFaraya Measures to Reduce the Value of Legal Bonds

Khaberni - Minister of Interior Al-Faraya confirmed that administrative detention is carried out within the legal frameworks stipulated in the law.

During a meeting with the Parliamentary Committee on Public Freedoms and Human Rights on Wednesday, he stated that the government is working on taking measures to reduce the value of bonds, aiming to lessen the burden on citizens and facilitate legal procedures, without affecting legal sovereignty or public security.

The committee, chaired by MP Raed Rabaa, discussed the security matrix related to the procedures for readmission to administrative rulers.

Rabaa emphasized that discussing the security matrix is based on ensuring the control of administrative detention procedures and preventing any violations that may affect the rights of citizens or conflict with the provisions of the Constitution and the principle of the rule of law, stressing the importance of achieving balance between security requirements and the protection of public freedoms.

He pointed out the necessity of reviewing the Crime Prevention Law and updating it to keep pace with legislative developments and enhance the legal guarantees for individuals, affirming the committee’s ongoing monitoring of this file in coordination with the relevant entities.

He also stressed the importance of increasing penalties for drug crimes, and maintaining legal balance in the application of laws to ensure justice and protect society.

In turn, the MPs: Ahmad Al-Alimat, Ahmad Al-Qatawneh, Shaher Al-Shatnawi, Malek Al-Tahrawi, Nour Abu Ghosh, Mohammad Al-Maraeia, Hail Ayash, Lubna Al-Namour, Yenal Al-Farih, Rakeen Abu Hunieh, and Wissam Rabihat emphasized the importance of applying the security matrix based on clear legal principles that ensure justice and transparency, and reduce practices that may harm citizens, contributing to the consolidation of the rule of law and protecting the dignity of citizens.
