Khaberni - A Jordanian citizen has filed a complaint against ACI Electronics, the authorized distributor of Samsung in Jordan, after discovering a malfunction in a newly purchased microwave.
The citizen explained in his complaint, which was received by Khaberni that when he removed the appliance from its original packaging and turned it on for the first time, he found that the power button did not work, forcing him to take it to the company's service center.
He added that, after several reviews and struggles, the technical staff informed him of an internal break in the control panel (board), stating that the repair would cost him 25 Jordanian Dinars.
The citizen questioned why he was being charged for the repair of an internal malfunction in a new device that shows no external signs of falls or scratches, wondering: "If there is an internal break, why are there no external signs?".
The citizen confirmed that he chose to buy a product from Samsung relying on its global reputation as a leading company in electronics, yet, according to his description, this experience was contrary to his expectations, demanding that the relevant authorities review the mechanism of dealing with manufacturing defects.
The citizen concluded his complaint by affirming that the goal of raising it was to protect consumer rights and ensure the quality of services provided by accredited companies.
