Khaberni - Assad Al-Shibani, the Syrian Foreign and Expatriate Minister, stated on Sunday that Syrian-Jordanian relations are progressing in a unique upward trajectory in all fields.
Through his account on the "X" site, Al-Shibani expressed his country's aspiration to make the relationship a successful example of two neighboring states bound by mutual respect, joint cooperation, and deep popular ties.
He emphasized that the Syrian state will not tolerate any attempt to negatively influence this fraternal relationship between the two countries, and will take the necessary measures to maintain the clarity of the Syrian-Jordanian relations.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned on Sunday the insults to Jordan during a gathering in the Syrian capital Damascus, and stressed the necessity of holding those responsible for these insults accountable.
The official spokesman for the ministry, Ambassador Fuad Al-Majali, stated that the ministry had received assurances from the Syrian Foreign Ministry that the Syrian government absolutely rejects and condemns any insult to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and that it will take the necessary legal actions against a few individuals who insulted Jordan in violation of the law and a desperate attempt to damage the established fraternal relations between the two countries.
