Khaberni - The Parliamentary Financial Committee discussed, during its meeting on Sunday, chaired by MP Nimr Al-Sulihat, the Audit Bureau's report for 2024 concerning the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs and Sanctities and the Chief Islamic Judge Department, in the presence of the Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs and Sanctities Mohammed Al-Khalaileh, and the representative of the Chief Islamic Judge Department, Hazem Al-Hazaimeh.
Al-Sulihat stated that the committee listened to a detailed presentation about the most significant financial and administrative observations in the report, emphasizing the importance of enhancing the internal control system, and ensuring compliance with the enforceable laws, regulations, and instructions, which contributes to the preservation of public money and improving the efficiency of institutional performance.
For their part, the committee members called for precise clarifications about several financial and administrative items, confirming the importance of serious follow-up in implementing the recommendations of the Audit Bureau.
In turn, Al-Khalaileh confirmed the ministry's full cooperation with the Audit Bureau and the Parliamentary Financial Committee, noting that part of the observations had been addressed, while some remain under follow-up, with a commitment to enhancing internal control mechanisms and improving transparency in the ministry's various procedures.
For his part, Al-Hazaimeh affirmed the Chief Islamic Judge Department's adherence to legal and administrative standards and the correction of some observations of the Audit Bureau, while some issues are still under follow-up.
Fawzan Wreikat, the Director of Reports at the Audit Bureau, stressed the Audit Bureau's commitment to following up on the implementation of its recommendations and addressing the observations according to regulations, thereby enhancing the principles of transparency, accountability, and good management of public funds.
