Khaberni - Statistical data from the Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Supply showed a notable increase in the registration of individual establishments and trade names in 2025, compared to 2024.
The ministry's spokesperson Yenal Barmawi stated that the number of business registers recorded last year, namely individual establishments, reached 25,600, compared to 21,499 records for the same period in 2024, achieving a clear growth in commercial registration activity.
He pointed out that the Central Commercial Registry Directorate recorded 10,023 trade names during the same period of 2025, compared with 7,586 trade names during the same period last year, reflecting an increase in the pace of economic activity and entrepreneurship.
Barmawi added that 228 trade agencies and 44 commercial agents and brokers were registered, and approximately 11,089 thousand trade names were amended.
The directorate works to prepare a suitable investment and commercial environment that encourages the establishment of industries, crafts, and commercial professions, and facilitates the practice of commercial activities for agents and commercial brokers with ease and convenience.
For this purpose, the directorate undertakes the disclosure of the names of merchants and commercial establishments to enhance trust in commercial transactions and preserve the rights of traders and their clients. It also discloses rights on movable properties to assist buyers and financiers in making financing or purchasing decisions, and informs about any rights pertaining to the movable properties.
