Khaberni - US President Donald Trump said on Thursday that his administration had stopped 8 wars and will stop an additional one which is the toughest, indicating that the council is an opportunity to be among the most important entities.
He added, during the inauguration ceremony of the Peace Council for the Gaza Strip, participating in the Davos Forum, "I think another war will soon end, I thought it would be the easiest but it turned out to be the most difficult," referring to the Russian-Ukrainian war.
He mentioned that 29,000 people died last month, most of them Russian and Ukrainian soldiers, "which is horrible, but we have made a lot of progress and held meetings with both sides."
He continued, "Peace in the Middle East exists now," pointing out that the council will include the world's best leaders, and thanking the countries that agreed to join the council.
About Gaza, Trump said that he has kept the ceasefire standing and continued humanitarian aid, pointing to the proximity of recovering the last detained body in Gaza.
Trump affirmed full commitment to the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, disarmament from Hamas, in addition to announcing other matters after launching the Peace Council.
Regarding the Iranian file, Trump said, "We destroyed Iran's nuclear capabilities in an operation we called 'Midnight Hammer,' and everything was destroyed using a B2 bomber, and we penetrated deep into the ground and we do not possess nuclear weapons, and Iran wants to talk and we will talk to them."
