AlSafadi Represents Jordan at the Launch of the Peace Council Sponsored by Trump in Davos

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs Ayman Al-Safadi represents Jordan today at the launch ceremony of the Peace Council by US President Donald Trump at the international economic conference in Davos.

Jordan announced yesterday accepting the invitation extended by President Trump to His Majesty King Abdullah II to join the council.

Al-Safadi confirmed in a joint statement with the foreign ministers of the United Arab Emirates, the Republic of Indonesia, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Republic of Turkey, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the State of Qatar, and the Arab Republic of Egypt their support for the peace efforts led by President Trump, and their commitment to support the implementation of the Peace Council’s mission as a transitional body as stated in the comprehensive plan to end the conflict in Gaza, as adopted by UN Security Council Resolution No. 2803, aimed at establishing a permanent ceasefire, supporting the reconstruction of Gaza, and advancing towards a just and lasting peace based on fulfilling the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination and establishing their state according to international law, facilitating security and stability for all countries and peoples of the region.
