Khaberni - The Executive Director of Jerash Greater Municipality, engineer Ali Shouqah, said the municipality formed a committee to survey the advertising signs spread across the city of Jerash and surrounding municipal areas, aiming to remove unauthorized and non-compliant signs.
He explained that the committee started its work with an inspection tour of various commercial and professional sites within the municipality's boundaries, visiting 52 locations.
He added that the tour resulted in 36 facilities being fined, 4 advertising signs being removed, and 85 percent of the areas within the municipal boundaries being addressed, with the remaining sites still under process.
He pointed out that a comprehensive plan was implemented to limit infractions and enforce regulations, emphasizing the need for facility owners to comply with the current instructions and systems. The plan focused on monitoring advertising signs and ensuring the safety of licensing procedures to ensure fairness among business owners and to maintain the city's civilized character. He noted that the campaign is part of enhancing citizens' culture of compliance with the regulations and law respect. The field tours will continue regularly to ensure everyone's compliance, contributing to improving the service level and enhancing the image of Jerash as a comprehensive tourist and organizational city.
