Statement from the Abu Nuwas clan regarding the Karak crime

Khaberni - The Abu Nuwas clan issued a statement about the Karak crime, during which a young man from the clan killed his three children.

The clan stated in a statement that reached Khaberni, that what happened is a shameful and unacceptable individual act, and under no circumstances should the clan or its members bear the consequences of a condemned and reprehensible individual act.

The clan called upon the competent Jordanian authorities to take the most stringent legal measures against the assailant, without leniency or mercy, in accordance with the law and justice.

And following is the text of the statement:

Urgent statement issued by the Abu Nuwas clan

The Abu Nuwas clan expresses its staunch condemnation, denunciation, and absolute rejection of the shameful and sinful act committed by one of its members, which is rejected religiously, legally, morally, and humanely, and does not in any way represent anything but an abnormal and pathological individual case that the clan collectively and unequivocally disavows, feeling greatly shocked and distressed by the severity of what occurred and the pain and condemnation it has caused in people's hearts. Abu Nuwas, with its history, values, upbringing, and authentic customs, stresses that this behavior does not represent it in any way and is in no way related to its ethical and social path, and under no circumstances should the clan or its members bear the consequences of a condemned and reprehensible individual act.

Out of our profound respect for the rule of law, our firm trust in the fair Jordanian judiciary, the security forces, and the competent state institutions, the Abu Nuwas clan authorizes the competent Jordanian authorities to take the severest legal actions against the assailant, without leniency or mercy, in a manner consistent with the legal provisions and justice, achieving both general and specific deterrence and protecting the security and dignity of society members. The clan also explicitly demands that there should be no leniency towards such a dangerous act, as it represents an assault on public values and societal peace, and because it does not reflect the clan's morals or upbringing, nor the principles of authentic Jordanian society.

The clan, as an integral part of the single Jordanian society, stands united behind the Jordanian state and its institutions, and believes that the only reference in such cases is law, not emotion, rumors, or incitement and defamation campaigns on social media, especially given the sensitivity of publication issues, rumors, and unverified information in the Jordanian digital environment. From here, the clan urges all nationals, and the diverse community sections, not to engage in skirmishes, share unverified news, or follow the chaos of interpretation and incitement practiced by some misleading pages and groups, whose only concern is to stir discord and increase tension, distorting the facts.

While the Abu Nuwas clan rejects any insult, generalization, or exploitative misuse of this incident, it also expresses its full confidence in the awareness of the Jordanian community, and the ability of the nationals to distinguish between individual crime and the collective values of the families and clans of Jordan that have always been based on honor, responsibility, and respect for the law. It also asserts that protecting societal peace does not come from unrestrained reactions, but by adhering to the state, respecting the justice procedures, and leaving the final say to the competent authorities, in line with the role of security and judicial institutions in protecting lives and properties and enforcing the law.

In this regard, the clan emphasizes that the Jordanian state, with its leadership and security, judicial, and administrative institutions, was and will remain the primary guarantor of rights, and the strong fortress against chaos, rumor, and slander, and that any attempt to create a misleading public opinion or incite emotions outside the legal framework represents a violation of society's interest and security and unity. The clan calls for national and ethical responsibility in publishing, commenting, and sharing, and to not transform digital platforms into arenas for defamation or spreading hatred or undermining public trust, and we highlight that the clan's misfortune is significant, and circulating rumors at such a sensitive time only presents a case of information chaos without regard to the feelings and sentiments of the family.

In conclusion, the Abu Nuwas clan clings to the values of truth, justice, mercy, and responsibility, and its full standing with the enforcement of the law and justice, protecting community security, emphasizing the family's role as a cornerstone for building the society, and rejecting all forms of information chaos, incitement, offense, and unjust generalization.

May God keep Jordan safe and stable, protect its people, and perpetuate the sovereignty of the law and the prestige of the state and its institutions.
