Amman Chamber of Commerce and Ambassador Abu AlFool discuss enhancing investments and partnerships with Saudi Arabia

Khaberni - The President and a number of members of the Amman Chamber of Commerce's board of directors discussed with the Jordanian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Dr. Haitham Abu Al-Fool, at the Jordanian Embassy in Riyadh, ways to enhance economic, commercial, and investment cooperation between the two brotherly countries, and to support joint private sector initiatives.

During the meeting, the President of the Chamber, Khalil Haj Tawfiq, emphasized the importance of building on the brotherly relations that unite the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and Saudi Arabia, and the necessity of developing institutional work mechanisms between the private sector institutions of the two countries to contribute to expanding the volume of trade exchange and increasing joint investments.

Haj Tawfiq expressed his great pride in the role played by the Jordanian embassy in Riyadh and the distinguished efforts made by Ambassador Abu Al-Fool and the entire embassy staff, affirming that the Amman Chamber of Commerce and the Jordanian private sector have begun clearly to feel the impact of modern Jordanian economic diplomacy in supporting businessmen and opening doors to quality partnerships and investments.

He added that the visit of the Chamber delegation to Riyadh is historically significant by all measures, given its integration of multiple, intertwined economic files, whether on the level of the Amman Chamber of Commerce and the Jordan Chamber of Commerce, or through the Jordanian-Saudi joint business council, the business forum, and the extensive meetings with government officials and Saudi economic institutions, reflecting a serious approach towards building a practical and sustainable strategic partnership between both sides.

During the meeting, attended by Vice Presidents Nabil Al-Khatib and Bahjat Hamdan, the secretary of the board of directors, Mohammed Tahboub, and board member Falah As-Saghir, it was noted that the Amman Chamber of Commerce is particularly focused on activating economic partnerships with the Saudi side, opening direct communication channels between business owners, and providing information and support services for Jordanian companies wishing to enter or expand in the Saudi market.

It was highlighted that the launch of the Jordanian-Saudi Business Network, which is scheduled to be announced officially tonight in Riyadh, represents a practical step in this direction, by providing an organized framework for networking between companies and investors, exchanging information about investment opportunities and legislation, incentives, and enhancing the integration of supply chains between the two sides.

For his part, Ambassador Abu Al-Fool confirmed that the Jordanian embassy in Riyadh, under official directives, puts all its capacities at the service of supporting joint economic initiatives between the two countries, and enhancing the role of the private sector as a key partner in economic development.

He pointed out the importance of benefiting from Jordanian skills working in Saudi Arabia, considering them a national strategic asset that contributes to transferring expertise, building partnerships, and expanding economic and investment relations.

Ambassador Abu Al-Fool also emphasized the significance of signing the anticipated memorandum of understanding today between the Amman Chamber of Commerce and the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce, given the pivotal role of both chambers in opening broader horizons for Jordanian and Saudi companies to enter into sustainable investment and commercial partnerships.

Board members present expressed their appreciation for the role played by the Jordanian embassy in Riyadh in supporting the private sector, confirming that the Saudi market is a natural strategic partner for the Jordanian trader. They noted that the launch of the Jordanian-Saudi Business Network opens practical new prospects for companies in both countries, enhancing opportunities for partnership and investment, and integration in supply chains, positively reflecting on economic growth and job creation.

Both sides affirmed the continuation of coordination and cooperation between the Amman Chamber of Commerce and the Jordanian embassy in Riyadh to follow up on the outputs of the Jordanian-Saudi Business Network, and transform them into practical programs and projects that can be implemented, serving the shared economic interests and supporting the strategic partnership path between the two countries.
