Hassan Developmental plan for Irbid includes 140 projects worth 700 million dinars

Khaberni  - Prime Minister Jafar Hassan said that the government, acting on directives from His Majesty King Abdullah II, held Cabinet meetings in all provinces last year, and during the Cabinet session held in Irbid Governorate in collaboration with the elected bodies, deputies, and notables of the governorate, agreed on a three-year developmental plan for the governorate which included 140 projects valued at around 700 million dinars.

Hassan added that the government will work on implementing the directives of His Majesty the King to establish a cancer treatment center at Princess Basma Hospital, through a cooperation agreement to be signed with the Hussein Cancer Center to ensure the quality of services provided, noting that the government is also working on expanding other hospitals in Irbid.

Regarding the education sector, the Prime Minister confirmed that the government completed the construction of 8 new schools during the last academic term and is currently working on completing an additional 12 schools that will be available at the start of the next academic term in September. He also noted that there will be significant spending on water and sewage networks.

Hassan pointed out the importance of opening the permanent exhibition for agricultural and rural products to market the farmers' produce, alongside announcing the tender for the new central market a few days ago, confirming that these two projects will add value to the agricultural sector in all northern provinces.

Concerning infrastructure, Hassan confirmed that the government will work on completing the Irbid ring road project in phases, and implementing it in collaboration with the private sector, noting the government's cooperation with the Irbid Reconstruction Foundation to rehabilitate Tell Irbid and create a public park.
