Khaberni - The competent investigation authorities have decided to refer TikToker Asmaa Ismail to criminal trial in Egypt, accusing her of providing content that scratches public modesty, and infringes on societal values and principles through video clips.
The Cairo Economic Court is scheduled to consider on Tuesday, the first session of TikToker Asmaa Ismail's trial, following accusations related to acts on social media platforms, concerning content that violates public decency, and includes breaches of prevailing societal values and principles.
Earlier, the specialized investigation authorities had decided to refer the dancer Bosy Al-Assad to trial, accusing her of spreading immorality and vice on social media sites, within similar cases related to electronically published content.
The investigation authorities also decided to renew the detention of dancer Bosy Al-Assad for 45 days pending further investigation, in the case where she is accused of spreading immorality and vice through her social media accounts.
Egyptian media outlets obtained details of the investigations in the case, where dancer Bosy Al-Assad testified during the investigation. When asked about the ownership of the items found in her possession, she said, "2 of the phones are mine, one is my mother's, one is my brother's, the money is mine, the wigs are mine, and I know nothing about the alcohol."
