Dubai Police Warn Against Imitating Deadly Challenges

Khaberni -  Dubai Police General Command warns of the danger of teenagers imitating what is known as "the trend", which are deadly challenges that are prevalent on social media platforms, involving dangerous behaviors and practices among children and teenagers, posing a direct threat to their lives, including the "Skull Breaker Challenge", "Choking", "Breath Holding", and other reckless and deadly practices.

Dubai Police explained that these challenges, which are spreading on social media platforms, appeal to the youth and teenagers looking for entertainment and excitement, without realizing the serious consequences that result from participating in them. Some of these challenges in different countries have led to severe injuries and deaths among participants.
Role of the Family

Dubai Police urged parents to play a pivotal role in awareness and supervision of their children, emphasizing that the responsibility is shared in protecting children from the negative impact of certain clips and information on the internet, pointing out the importance of educating their children about the dangers of imitating what is published on social media platforms from dangerous challenges, and not to follow peer pressure from their friends or the desire to be seen.
Dubai Police also called for the necessity to report any dangerous or incorrect practices by calling the contact center at 901, or reporting through the 'Police Eye' service on the Dubai Police smart app.
