Khaberni - The organizing committee for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations held in Morocco announced the refereeing team for the final match that brings together the Moroccan and Senegalese teams, in an anticipated confrontation that will take place at the Prince Moulay Abdellah stadium in the capital, Rabat, on Sunday, amid widespread public and media interest.
The committee has entrusted the task of officiating the final to the Congolese referee Jean Jacques Ndala, who enjoys the confidence of the African Football Confederation, having delivered stable refereeing performances throughout his journey in the current tournament, and successfully managed a number of sensitive matches without notable controversy.
Previously, Ndala had refereed the opening match that brought together the Moroccan team and its counterpart from the Comoros, as well as leading the match between Tunisia and Tanzania in the group stage, which ended in a 1-1 draw, in a game characterized by competitiveness and disciplinary refereeing.
The Moroccan team secured its place in the final after overcoming Nigeria by penalties in the semi-final, while the Senegalese team reached the final after defeating the Egyptian team 1-0, setting up a new rendezvous in the conclusion of the continental tournament.
Jean Jacques Ndala is considered one of the most prominent referees on the African continent in recent years, having started his international refereeing career in 2014, and participated in managing many major tournaments, including previous editions of the Africa Cup of Nations, as well as World Cup qualifiers and matches in the African Champions League and the Confederation Cup.
The Congolese referee is known for his calm demeanor and his ability to maintain control on the field, alongside adopting a firm approach in handling difficult refereeing situations.
