Khaberni - Hossam Hassan, coach of the Egyptian national team, announced the Pharaohs' lineup for their match against Senegal in the semi-finals of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, to be held at the Tangier Grand Stadium.
Egypt succeeded in defeating the Ivory Coast last Saturday in the quarterfinals of the Africa Cup of Nations in Agadir with an exciting 3-2 victory with goals from Omar Marmoush, Rami Rabia, and Mohamed Salah.
Khaberni - The official account of the Egyptian national team on the social networking platform "X" revealed the Pharaohs' lineup for the match against Senegal in the semi-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations 2025.
Mohamed El-Shenawy will play as the goalkeeper with a defensive line of five including Ahmed Fatouh and Mohamed Hani as side backs, and in between them are three center defenders, Hossam Abdelmajid, Rami Rabia, and Yasser Ibrahim.
In midfield, there will be the trio of Imam Ashour, Marwan Attia, and Hamdi Fathi, followed by the attacking duo of Mohamed Salah and Omar Marmoush.
Hossam Hassan fielded the same lineup that played against the Ivory Coast last Saturday.
On the bench will be Mustafa Shobier and Ahmed El-Shenawy as goalkeepers, along with Ahmed Eid, Khaled Sobhi, Mahmoud Hassan "Trezeguet", Mohanad Lashin, Ibrahim Adel, and Mohamed Ismail.
The Pharaohs are aiming to qualify for the finals of the Africa Cup of Nations for the third time in the last five editions, having lost the decisive match in 2017 and 2021 against Cameroon (1-2) and Senegal (in a penalty shootout) respectively.
