Khaberni - American President Donald Trump believes that NATO should help the United States acquire Greenland.
Trump wrote in a post on the platform "Truth Social": "The United States needs Greenland for national security considerations," stressing that it is a vital element in the Golden Dome project that Washington is working on building.
He added that NATO should lead the efforts to ensure that the United States obtains Greenland, warning that "if this is not done, Russia or China might seek to control it," something he said he would not allow to happen.
Trump explained that militarily, without the tremendous power of the United States, which he said he contributed to building a large part of during his first term and is currently working to elevate to a higher level, "NATO would not be an effective or deterring force, let alone come close to achieving this role".
He pointed out that the alliance countries recognize this fact, confirming that he understands it as well.
He added that "NATO becomes significantly stronger and more effective when Greenland is under the control of the United States," considering any option less than this is unacceptable. He concluded by saying "thank you for your interest in this matter."
