Khaberni - Amid an atmosphere of mutual threats between Iran and the United States, after the repeated warnings and the flaunting of the military option by American President Donald Trump, the Iranian leader Ali Khamenei responded.
Today, on Monday, Khamenei posted on his Persian-language account on X, a picture of a Trump statue in the shape of a "smashed" Pharaoh.
"Arrogant and conceited," he described the American president without naming him as "the arrogant and conceited one who sits there judging the entire world."
He also considered that Trump should "also know that tyrants and despots in the world, like Pharaoh and Nimrod.. and their likes, when they reached the peak of their pride, were overthrown." He concluded saying, "This person will also be overthrown," referring to the American president.
This came as Trump clarified that he is considering the possibility of military action against Iran, amidst increasing reports of crackdowns on popular protests against the authorities. The American president told reporters aboard the presidential plane in response to a question about whether Tehran had crossed the red line he previously set, which is demonstrated by killing protesters: "It seems that they have begun to do that."
He also confirmed that his country "is following the matter very seriously," and is considering "some very strong options," adding, "We will make a decision."
Military action and cyber-attacks were previously informed by sources that American military officials and diplomats will brief Trump next Tuesday on the available options to take with Iran, including executing cyber-attacks and potential military action.
In return, Iranian officials warned that their country would target American military bases if the United States launched an attack on them.
It is noted that the American president had warned more than once recently that his country would support the protestors if they were faced with killing by the Iranian authorities.
Since December 28 last year, Iran has been witnessing widespread protests against the deteriorating economic and living conditions, which later turned into political demonstrations against the regime.
Meanwhile, the Iranian authorities accused Israel and America of intervening in these demonstrations to destabilize the country.
